As I wander through the forest observing the shapes and shadows, sometimes the shapes look back and I see a spirit and its message. A lump growing from a fallen tree resembled a skull and as it disintegrated over the coming weeks, it was a reminder of my immortality and our second death, the death that comes when all the people who remember us have passed.
