Artist Bio – Catriona Smith (emiRaven)
Curiosity is the driving force behind my work. I'm a multidisciplinary artist with a scholarly interest in history, healing, and culture. I find inspiration in the stories of the past, the solitude of nature, and the whispers of my ancestors. My creative journey is an act of listening—observing life, asking questions, and seeking understanding through various mediums.
My work spans across photography, video, recycled materials, painting, writing, piano, ceramics, and drawing. These diverse forms allow me to engage with my intuition, examine the past and reflect on life.
I believe in the power of art to connect us with deeper truths, whether through a well-timed photograph, a thoughtfully created ceramic piece, or the sound of a piano. Art is a passageway that allows me to express and explore my inner world, connecting with others through a shared understanding of beauty, mystery, and healing. I am always seeking answers to questions that may never be revealed.
Alongside formal studies in visual art, ceramics, piano, psychology, business, fitness, and hospitality I have also pursued studies in mythology, videography, graphic design, and music video.
I have had the opportunity to showcase my work in these exhibitions:
